NFL team to make a visit to Valdosta mall

VALDOSTA, GA – The Jacksonville Jaguars first ever caravan will make a stop in Valdosta Saturday, June 9 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the Valdosta Mall.

Food, autographs, and prize giveaways from players and local vendors will all be a part of this special event.

Valdosta Mayor John Gayle, Team Teal Commissioner Tony Boselli, wide receiver Justin Blackmon, linebacker Brandon Marshall, defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton, punter Bryan Anger, ROAR Cheerleaders, and Jaxson de Ville are scheduled to be there.

This event is free and open to the public.

VALDOSTA, GA – News release from Valdosta City Schools

Valdosta High School playoff tickets will be available beginning Monday, November 7.  For playoff games played at Bazemore Hyder Stadium, season ticket holders will need to come by the ticket office Monday or Tuesday to purchase their regular seats. 

All season tickets not purchased during these two days will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

Two GA student-athletes gain state honors, now moving towards national honors

Two of Georgia’s most outstanding high school seniors were honored with distinguished recognition as State Winners of the 2011 Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. 

Princess Forbes of Campbell High School in Smyrna and Ellen Grier of The Westfield School in Perry will now go on to compete for the national award that celebrates their hard work, dedication and exceptional records in athletics, academics and community leadership.
