Gander Mountain opens in Valdosta | News
VALDOSTA, GA- The first Gander Mountain outdoors retail store in Georgia is now open in Valdosta.
Local leaders helped cut the ribbon on the 52,000 square foot store on Norman Drive today.
It created 100 jobs and has the largest gun selection in the region.
The Mayor says the store will help bring other retailers to the area.
"Valdosta is the first city they picked to start their expansion into Georgia and we're just as proud as we can be, it's going to be a real asset to the City of Valdosta," said Mayor John Gayle.
As part of Gander Mountain's grand opening, the first 100 customers on Saturday and Sunday will receive $10 gift cards.
