VSU's Johnson wins Commissioner's Trophy | News

VALDOSTA, GA-

Valdosta State's Morgan Johnson becomes the first Blazer female athlete to win the Gulf South Conference's Commissioner Trophy in 15 years.

Morgan Johnson was presented the Commissioner's Trophy at the Gulf South Conference awards banquet tonight in Birmingham.

The Commissioner Trophy is awarded to the male and female student-athletes in the league.

Johnson is an academic All-American in nursing and was an All-American for the national champion Valdosta State softball team.

Morgan Johnson is the seventh VSU athlete to win a Gulf South Conference Commissioner's Trophy.

Chris Hatcher and Bridgette Moore both won the Commissioner's Trophy twice.
