News

VALDOSTA, GA- The 820th Base Defense Group of Mood Air Airforce Base is having their Change of Command Ceremony this morning.

Colonel Randall Richert is releasing control of Moody to Colonel Paul Kasuda.  Change of command ceremonies happen every two years.

"We're going to follow three things. We're going to know our job. We're going to do our job. We are going to be professional in all we do," said Colonel Paul Kasuda.

"I'm heading off to Scott Air Force Base. It's actually going home for me. I was assigned there before as the Security Forces Leader. I'm going home to be the Director of Security," said Colonel Randall Richert.

Colonel Kasuda plans to meet with airmen in the coming weeks to lay out his new plans for the base.

Col. Kasuda was formerly the Chief of Operations Division at the Headquarters Security Forces Center at Lackland AFB, Texas.
