Brown bag lunch concert series returning to Valdosta | News

VALDOSTA, GA - News release from city of Valdosta

The popular lunch-time concert series is back! The Main Street Office will host the Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series in Downtown Valdosta, Monday, May 7 through Friday, May 11.

Each day a different band will perform live music from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Lowndes County Courthouse lawn.  This year’s lineup of bands is:

May 7 –   Valdosta High School Jazz Band

May 8 –   Big Engine

May 9 –   Lowndes High School Jazz Band

May 10 – Sundance Jenkins

May 11 – Blues Factor

The Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series, sponsored by Bank of America, the Central Valdosta Development Authority and the City of Valdosta, is free and open to the general public. 

Concert attendees may also purchase lunch and beverages from a variety of downtown restaurant booths.

The concert series is held in observance of National Historic Preservation Month, which serves as a showcase for local communities to honor their past and help build their future.  Click here for more information on Valdosta’s historic preservation efforts.
