 SGMC, Kohl’s Department Store, and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department will be hosting Bike Smart! - a bike safety and bike rodeo program.

The event will be held Saturday, May 19th from 8:30am-10:30am in SGMC’s Surgery Center parking lot. This event is for children ages 5-14.

Children will receive hands-on instruction in bike safety and learn how to wear a bike helmet properly.

The South Georgia Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary recently awarded patches and pins for hours of service at their annual “Thank Pink” luncheon.

Auxiliary members receiving patches for 50 hours of service were:  Diane Belcher, Bianca Farley, Talmadge Flippo, Bertha Graham, Henry Hicks, Travis Johnson, Kaye Joyce, Don Nolan, Stevie Norris, Shirley Sainz, Brittany Smith and Donna Smith.
